Santa, I know your main business are gifts and cookies and blinking lights. But I know its worth it to make a not so selfish wish from time to time and since you are the only one that I totally believe in, I’ll make a wish and I hope you read it (bet you have a better provider).

Santa, I wish that all our beloved ones will be okay, through these days. Please take care of my fabulous mom and my wonder dad, the cats (even devil cat) and my brother and his lovely family and take care of all of my friends and their funny kids. Have an eye on everyone that I love and those they love (cascading love, you know… that should cover everyone).

Santa, I wish you increase my super power for next year. I failed saving someone this year – broke my heart. You know, I wish, you put her on your brightest star and you tell her, that we miss her. We will say farewell in a few days and I hope we remember the good times as often as we can.

Santa, if you still have a minute, forget that pony that I wish for like 30 years now. Give luck to everyone, much luck and health and the ability for more smiles and less worries.

Santa,
thank you.

The album of the week, lets start a new digital tradition, is and you guessed it, any Underworld Best Of. Underworld, those who grew up in the 90s may remember them best, is a british electronic group. I have that from wikipedia. A british electronic group. My electronic streak (that sounds so strange) left me somewhen in the beginning 00s. Indie came, you know and all got packed into a huge cotton ball with much unicorn and love. And then, I don’t know how it came back… no yes, I remember, they played “Jumbo” in the radio and I had to shazam (why isnt that a word, hmm auto correction?) it and zazoom (is not a word either?), Underworld was back in my ears and soon on my interPod.

I am recommending a greatest hits album, because you cant do anything wrong with that, if you just want to give it a listen and if your not so into electronic.. better alternative indie pop love. Its okay, get the Best of and wait for a grey and rainy day, run through the streets and bump into people in a good old Gallagher manner. You will love it. “Jumbo” for you.

I am a biker.. hell biker. A hell biker, with a heart. Yes and with care. I am a rowdy hell biker with heart and care. I can be that romantic bicycle girl at the country side and your worst rolling nightmare. Depends on how you meet me. I am cycling for 2 years now in Berlin. Great fun and more dangerous than jumping from train to train. My bike is like… a red dream. Perfectly equipped and super fit. Thats what the police officer said today. “Super bike, Miss, great condition… but you drove on the pavement. Thats not allowed, 5€ or go directly in to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200.” : ( I was so perplex, all those mean insults came, when I arrived at home. Never happened before.

You need to know, that corner is like hell corner. Gets cut every day. Even as I left those short dick police officers, I almost got hit by a car. Like every day. Thats why I drive on the pavement. Am I bad? Am I dangerous for doing so? I never injured pedestrians, never drove over dogs, cats, birds, not even snails. I am slow, smiling and my bike bell sounds like a shy blossom in spring. It does! So what’s the problem? Better forcing all bikers on the street for “natural selection”? I do not understand!

I hope my 5 Euro will be saved for a new bike trail around this area or I kick off a street lantern soon. I paid for it!

IPad is for consuming, not for creating… yes, I know. But whats if you get kissed by Ms Muse, while youre about to collect your sheeps for counting. I avoid having one of the big macTops in bed, since I suffered from a real annoying nervous eye in the last few months. Probably came from all looking into those screens.. with job its like 10 or 11 or more hours per day. Thats not good for soul and body and I got the receipe for doing so. Made me feel like a serial killer… always shaking eye lid, as if I had 5 bodies in the basement. I am drifting. So I try to reduce all digital activities, when possible and go back to wooden literature or some sewing, yay! Rarely looking into digital affairs.

Itchy fingers though, trying the iPad app for WordPress. Works great, looks good, simple, just how I like it! I think its not possible to embedd pictures or so. Probably I do not see it. Hello? Img tag? Youre here? Nothing! Who cares.. over rated picture stories. Pest since Tumblr. *coughcough* Now go and sleep. Stupid senseless text finds its end here.

All my Twitter birdies know, I have been to London last week, sadly without camera. It wasn’t long planned, rather spontaneous. I booked a room and jumped onto a plane for my 4th trip to London. Departure was rather chaotic, almost missed my plane, due to S-Bahn (hate you like no other) issues and confusing airport layout. Almost, friends!!! I arrived London Luton around <s>11</s> 10 in the morning, had to wait a bit until my bus went downtown. The obligatory egg sandwich and a banana and off with easy peasy bus. To Notting Hills Pembrigde Gardens, where I booked my apartment for the next 3 days. Indeed the nicest way to stay. A little bathroom, tiny kitchen, desk, iPod dock (!!!) and lounging area and big but no kitty bed. No incl. Means I had to cook and clean all by myself. As if… Anyway, I made it somehow.

Then usual London program. Some shopping and strolling around in the parks. Boring with no camera. At the end I could have taken at least my worst video camera. Next time. Someone told me to see the big Gerhard Richter show. Tate Modern was on my list anyway, but mostly I spare me special exhibitions. Okay, Gerhard Richter (excursion: *1932, Dresden, german visual artist) then. No regrets. Great, great show. And while I became homesicklish on my last day and turning around the gallery corner, where they hung his huge sea paintings, I took a glance, felt into myself, another glance and tears welled up and I turned around and could not look at it again. Wow. A simple painting of a tiny “Seestück”. Heart breaking for homesickness professionals like me. Deep breathe, a cigarette and the rest of the exhibition, including the sunflower seeds by Ai Weiwei. Back outside after 4 hours and those great street musicians playing there… playing “You don’t know what you got ’til its gone” So right, Mr. Guitar. Right after that Radioheads “Creep” and I had to jump and go off.

(Gerhard Richer – “Seestück”)

Off to Foyles, another tip. I was looking for a good and modern sewing book and naively thought fashion capital could serve a million. Not. Only one that i found written by french DIY ladies. Frustrating. Bought it. Back to hotel via Tottenham hell. Still a construction side. Then packing and last cooking and finally dared to smoke on that tiny balcony, fire alarm went on… and off again, sleepy sleepy and home.

Some personal facts about London and its enough:
London is hectic, I am not. Thats a problem.
London is having rent a bikes now. If I was tired of life…
London is scratching the surface. Thats what the people do.
London smells like London does.
London has the greatest parks. I wanna roll on their lawns all day.
London shopping is obsolete. We have better options by now. (Sorry.)
London has no heart for wine lovers. Mostly australian or californian stuff and prices beyond good and evil.
London refuses having bad weather when I am in town.
Berlin is not better.

I love you big L. I see you again.

Music is still my good love, right after city love and animal love and love love and… Recently I have had less chances to listen to new albums by new artists and fairly old shit is playing up and down on my iPod. No updates in ages. So what I did last week, brave that I am, was downloading an album, from an artist that I found first on that #LSTN Sampler by Urban Outfitters.. I guess it was #14 or #15. Anyway… Girls Names with their album “Dead to me”. Irish band, indie sound, danceable and super sad and hyper cool. I am still a looser in music categories. Noisy pop shoegaze rock or so. Lots of guitars. You will love it. Its so mainstream and yet nobody knows them. Except hipsters. Let them escape from a destiny like this. Buy the album!

The whole album is to be found on Youtube. Just look out for videos that show the album cover like this:

The Grasshoppers story needs a foreword. We had a little accident that morning. I was preparing for the fashion show in the bathroom, when I heard a terrible eeeeek eeeeek eeeek. I knew this sound. Sound of a dying sparrow. Hunter cat felt lucky and caught a happy bird right from the balcony. Not for the first time and not the only cat who did that here.

By now we have 3 restless sparrow souls and an uncounted number of innocent insect souls flying around in these rooms. Thats scary and not good for feng and shui. So anyway in the afternoon I heard a little rustle and saw my cat jumping from asleep to AWAKE staring at the green hopper. Me staring too. Big guy, beautiful too. Save him! Now get a glass and paper one eye on starving cat. That green guy barely fit the cup so I had a little fight with his countless extremities and finally put him on the catnip plants outside. Took a few minutes for him to relax and finally he jumped off my balcony into new grasshopper adventures. Farewell you and take care!

Cat, sad and disappointed, obviously deadly starving lost her second exotic meal that day and scuffled back to the kitchen where dry pellets were waiting defenseless, cold and quiet.
